Holleration!

Honey I'm home! I'm back and it's the best thing to happen in a while, maybe since Aleef started seeling Reeses Peanut Butter Cups for 50p. As Vybz would say...Timeless! It's just a quick hey-ho 'cos lifes treating me like the wussy kid at the back of the rollercoaster that just wants to chuck up and get off...but I'm dropping a few tips before I spray my chunks.

Check out Feadz remix of Cold As Ice on his myspace page here . A bmore-ish rework, it's pretty fucking bangin'. I've always though Feadz was pretty G, but he was either making beats (that were too good) for Uffie or making mad techno...and I've just never gelled with that. But if he keeps on throwing out tracks like this, I might just have to marry him.

Laters folks.

Esqueezy's Killin' It!

Ok I've been back a few weeks, but I'm still in the Spanish frame of mind...and that is to do fuck all.

Anyway...big treat time on the Monday Murkage front in the form of line-ups until December. You can check me every week, making me a bad Tuesday hangover...

Can't Say I'm Really Feeling It....

These are bad times. Really bad times. Someone needs to make a scene, because artists are getting pretty confused out here...and this collaboration/track/video and pretty much everything surrounding it, proves it big time. Just watch. You've got a half zebra/half horny sombrero (who I'm sure is Jammer) decked out in purple and prancing around chirpsing girls, Calvin Harris doing what sounds like an attempt at private school boy rap, a fat DJ and Dizzee with his top off.

Never dat. It's also VERY catchy which makes makes me feel rather glad I'm leaving the country for a while. Don't think I could hack unstable people humming that at work.

Back with a banger on 2nd August for Contort Yourself's Megamix Vol.3 swiftly followed by Esqueezy/Lord Lewis' Big N Bashy Birthday Bruckout so get them badboys in your diary. In the mean time, I'll leave you with this one. I'm a bit pretty late on it because I've not been attentive lately...but now I've heard it I'm stoked.

Hollywhat?

The untimely death of Esqueezy’s Hollyoaks viewing career

I’ve known for quite a while that my maturity clock is ticking way too fast for Hollyoaks. It’s definitely a programme you can only get away with watching for so long, or risk seeming like the mutton dressed as lamb of the TV viewing world. This week was truly traumatic. Who’s with me on that one? Max Cunningham is dead! And there was me thinking he would marry Steph and they would both go onto progress to the OAP Hollyoaks cast (those who are 25 years and over) or maybe even walking dead cast members (the fat McQueen mother or the couple who run the Dog). Hollyoaks is definitely a strange place – it’s the only village I’ve ever come across with student halls, a student bar, a pub, a club AND a local psychopath (small towns usually only get the psychopath/s). With about five adults in the whole community, two Goths and a multitude of teenagers/young adults with drug problems and lurking sexually transmitted diseases, is such an enthusiastic amount of entertainment/corruption really feasible? Now Max and OB are gone, and they were there from day when I was 14 and had nothing better to do than not wash my hair and watch Hollyoaks on Sunday morning, and I fancied OB in a weird kind of way…Oh well, looks like me and Hollyoaks have truly clocked off…

I can't stop listening to this tweaky Young Weezy joint.

Goooood Life Goooood Life Gooooood Life Gooooood Life

…simply because early 90’s dance music definitely sounds better without early 90’s dance moves, crop-tops and bucket hats.

At the moment I’m going through a dance phase, and I ain’t talking Love Story or Toca’s Mircale…I’m talking a massive early 90’s house revival, the sort of shit young mums used to buss out on their brick sized Walkman’s at step aerobics class. I’m making it into a fucking movement son. I’ll leave you to sweat it out with a bit of Big Fun. You’ll be in on it at cult level in no time…

By name by nature, this ones beast.

On another subject entirely, how AWFUL is The Charlotte Church Show? I never realised how truly drastic things had become for her. Singing the weeks news in a cringeworthy fashion? I’ll take a rain check every single week….

Shits poppin off left and right...Esqueezy's here now...AIIIIIGHT.

Out of the dark and into the light! I ain't been up to much as such these past few weeks (kinda like Janet's tits) so Esqueezy's climbing up onto the blogging perch of death. Hold onto your New Era's, it's going to be like a back to back rollercoaster ride with all the bad bits included...vomit in your hair, losing your shoes, dirt and all. Everybody's having a stab at this music blog thing, even people who still write correspondence in Crayola, so what the dilly? Fuck the credit crunch, wave off pop splattered indie rock 'n' roll and kick that Topshop outta your life...cos I'm getting my moderator hat on and poppin' off some lyrical fiyah. Rounds of music, style and SUBSTANCE...heavy punches from the nouveau urban town cryer with the croaky voice of 20 fags a day...definitely ain't your usual and pretty grating but hell, that's Esqueezy.

To get the juices flowing, an introductory bassline mp3 throwout...
Bassline and fidget house have been going on like teenagers in hormonal havoc of late. They can't keep their hands off each other, and weird offshoots keep popping up like the C-Code & Mike Mago remix of Mavado & Busy Signal's 'Badman Place'. It's bouncy, hella interesting and makes girls get hysterical on the dancefloor so I'm all for it. Have yourself a gander and see if we're on da levs -
