are you using version 1 or version 1.0.1 of cablevision app?
Coleman and others - this temp sync will work and as a side benefit you won't be able to update in itunes :) I tried it few times with my friend and shared app works just fine. Only issue I see is CV closing this hole by disabling older version of software from accessing the network. until that happens your idea will work
Forgot one thing. There is no need to drive or go anywhere. This can be done remotely via teamviewer application. Its free and works fast.
Just need to know what devices are needed to make it work (Computer to iPad, iPad to computer or computer to computer)
Just want to be sure of what you did
Thanks

Nobody knows. We will likely know when Steve plans next years Macworld. If it is at SF, there is a good chance it will always be at SF.

This is in line with the iPhone life cycle.
2007 - iPhone (the Apple Beta)
2008 - iPhone 3G - Complete Redesign (or, IMHO, the "real" launch)
2009 - iPhone 3GS - Modest update
2010 - iPhone 4 - Complete redesign
2011 - iPhone 4.5 - Modest update
2012 - iPhone 5 - Complete redesign. (or at least, significant overhaul.)
iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.
seems like apple is using the same modus operandi "tick-tock" as intel :apple:

Is their site ironically slow or is that just me? It's not massively slow, but you'd think they'd have really fast/efficient code...
Quite a bit of it is Flash though...

I think this is what the CDMA iPhone is for and less likely VZW...
I think it's more likely it's for both, it would make no sense for Apple to develop a CDMA iPhone and not give it to Verizon. looking at this list (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mobile_network_operators) from wikipedia Verizon appears to be the largest CDMA carrier in the world.

Yojiirill needs to check out Pinkerton.
Raditude is fun though.
Pinkerton is their best album. But the first 3 were all good. After that, it all goes down hill fast.

Hard drive speed is limited by the types of files you are transferring, speed of drive, if you are performing other tasks (or the computer is doing tasks in the background like indexing), and the speed of the interface.
One giant RAW video file will transfer a lot faster than 100,000 text files taking up the same amount of space.

Who wasn't expecting this one? Show of hands.
I did not expect this.
MS should understand that it's the truth. They copied Mac OS X SO MUCH. That's what they get...

Well, I joined up guys. But errrmmmm.... now what? I'm just kind of confused on the whole project and what exactly I'm doing for it. But hey, I'm on the team!

or if some user is trustworthy just create an optimum ID for an overseas person so they get their own email address but can't do anything to the parent account.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll have to test if only the master account works in the iPad app.

I am selling an 8GB Apple iPhone. This iPhone was purchased as a refurb from AT&T on March 17, 2008 - less than 3 months old. I updated the warranty with Apple and it now reads:
iPhone
Serial #:YM724FK0***
United States
Limited Warranty
2. Warranty information about your iPhone
Our records indicate that your product is covered under Apple's Limited Warranty which is estimated to expire on March 17, 2009.
Your product is eligible for complimentary phone support which is estimated to expire on March 21, 2010.
The iPhone is in perfect working condition - there is some light scratching on the back of the phone, and an extremely small scratch on the upper-right quadrant of the front screen which is about 2mm long (see pictures). You can only see that scratch in certain lighting conditions - usually only when there is a white background on the phone.
Due to these slight scratches, I am willing to let it go for $300 + your method of shipping to wherever you may be. These phones have been moving on eBay for upwards of $600 in the past few days - they are coming down a bit now, but this is still a substantial savings.
Included with the iPhone is everything that came with the AT&T Refurb box, as well as a Power Support Crystal Film Set [not pictured]. There is one left - the first one got dirty and I had to scrap it, but the other one is brand new.
* 8GB iPhone
* Stereo Headset with mic
* Dock (still in original wrapping)
* Dock Connector to USB 2.0 Cable
* USB Power Adapter
* Power Support Crystal Film Set
On the off-chance that you live in Cleveland, I am willing to meet in person so you can check out the iPhone and pay in person. I work downtown in the warehouse district, so meeting in that area would be ideal.
eBay: hoehnen3 (196+ 100% positive)
heatware: mxpiazza (7 positive)
Also sold, bought and traded with many people on these forums.
Please don't troll, hijack, etc - post, PM or email if you are interested, if not, thanks for your time.

I had to do a current technology project, too.
I GAVE A FORTY-FIVE MINUTE LONG PRESENTATION ON OSX!
(I'm awesome. I took up HALF the class period)
What I did, I just took the screen shots from the iindigo3d Mac OS history thing (thanks, dude! I know you wander around the boards, YOU ROCK!!!) and printed all of them, then I took screen shots of windows from 1.0 all the way to XP.
I was Sure to mention SPYWARE, VIRUSES and other things.. people already knew I was pretty appley before I gave it.. I mentioned nothing bad about OS X. (I am drunk on kool aid. I couldn't think of anything bad! haha.)
If you can find a site giving the history of it, it has basically done your work for you.
There's one of the history of Photoshop GUI and engadget made a history of iPod a while ago.
google around, someone probably has already done what you feel like doing, and put it in the interweb.
..it's not cheating if you already know it.. :o :p

As far as I know, Comex (@comex) has had it jailbroken since Mar 14th (tethered) and will release it when it's ready for public consumption. Hopefully days, but could be weeks, I guess...
Comex has gotten it jailbroken on the 14th but it still needs a little refining, it is Untethered not tethered as its userland exploit, which means it will work by just following instructions on the ipad then using a mac/pc

You'll want some guides to learn OpenGL, the graphics library many 2D games use.
recommend a good book? I enjoyed learning to draw and make the interaction of objects with maps and create effects eg smoke coming out of a tube ... know some tutorials or books to help me learn it?

You are reading into this a bit too much.
What Apple is referring to in the TN is that xinetd/inetd were deprecated as a means for users/admin and 3rd parties to launch daemons. Instead you should use launched.
That doesn't mean that Apple cannot use them as a means for launching and maintaining their own services. And indeed they are. The implementation noted in the Network Services Admin PDF is starkly different from how launchd is used.

Late 2010 13" MBA. The internal display has just started flickering. This is completely absent at half-brightness (say, the way the screen dims when idle), but at full brightness it's VERY noticeable. Not affected by whether or not I'm plugged in. Just started today. No effect from sleeping, rebooting, power cycling, etc.
I'm just guessing that this means I have to drop it off at an Apple Store and wait a week, doesn't it.

I hate to burst your bubble. But most androil phones do not have the latest and greatest OS. How do I know this. I own a Samsung Epic 4g. I just got Froyo. I will probably never see Gingerbread. Until they find a way to update the phones to the latest OS. Android sucks!! I love my iPad and miss the iPhone.
Well at least on Android if you WANT the latest OS you CAN have it. On iPhone if you want to be jailbroken you CANT have the latest OS more times than not, especially lately. If Android sux, switch back to iPhone, see how you love it after you're back.

You won't be able to get full res, but you could get a VGA-DVI adapter and try that.

With my 5870 I've been able to crank SC2 and Portal up to the very max on every setting without any lag (and that's on OS X.)
No idea how it compares to the iMac, but the short answer is "It will run almost all the games out right now perfectly."

Launch the Server app, choose Wiki on the left and slide the big switch to the off position.
Thanks. I tried but those 'ruby' by teamsserver is still taking up all the cpu usage. Have any idea how I can get them out?
