I assume you referring to streaming music using iTunes. If so, I'm pretty sure not being able to play purchased music is part of the DRM. However, if your computer is authorized to play the songs purchased by the account that bought them, then I think it lets you stream them. For the purchased music, I'd recommend moving one of them onto your computer and authorizing it for playback. Then you'll be able to stream all the others bought with the same account. Or, you could just copy all the purchased files, and stop streaming them.Well that's all find and dandy, but if you want to share your purchased music with your office so they can listent to your library, your out of luck.. That's sad and should be fixed..

I have a very convoluted home network. The route from Internet to my current primary system is:
Cable Modem --100MbitEthernet--> AirPort Extreme-n --WiFi-n--> AirPort Extreme-n --GigabitEthernet--> MacBook
When I do a speed test over Ethernet, I get 20-25 Mbps. (This is traveling over 802.11n WiFi to cross the house from one AirPort base to a second.) When I do the same speed test over 802.11g WiFi, connecting to the primary base station, 3 feet away from it, I get 10 Mbps.
That configuration could also be your issue. Each Wi-Fi link is only half duplex, so any packet you send can cause the receiving packets to slow (i.e. collisions). Running from one AP is likely not going to have the same impact.

Hey all, I currently live in Japan, and would like to get some experiences working at Apple. I haven't decided which floor I would like to work at, but it will most likely be the Genius Bar.
Now, to get in to my main point, is it possible to work at the Apple Store under the age of 18? I have no idea about the labor laws, work permit, and things like that, but I just to make sure. I saw on other thread that in state of Nevada, a person should be above the age of 16 to get a job.
BTW, I'm 17 currently.

Posixninja just tweeted that this is the slowest progressing jailbreak ever. I'm guessing no jb for iPad 2 anytime soon. We need geohot back
Yeah, it appears unless there is some kind of breakthrough, we are still good 3-4 months away from a JB.

There are a couple guys from Germany selling these for dirt cheap. I think they are all reprints. I bought a Buzz Aldrin from this seller and it's a totally awesome poster, you couldn't tell it was a fake...crisp, good contrast, glossy matte finish, even smelled fresh and new, and the colored Apple logo was perfect. The photo is stunning. I even bought another one from him. But, there is no way he is selling the volume of posters that he's selling without them being reprints, he lists a new batch of them on global.ebay.com every week. Just search for "Think different poster" and you will find a list of 24x36" Think Different posters from a seller in Germany.
Here is the same poster I bought from him. Listed at $1.00:

If your pref is set to column view but it opens in icon view (which is a bug), don't use the buttons in the finder window itself to switch views (they will switch views but they don't make the view stick). Use the View menu item As Columns (Cmd 3).

And you still haven't responded.
Well, then here... let me respond.
As I posted in another thread, the government by its very design distributes wealth. The question isn't whether it will happen... it will and does. The question is what should the government do when the distribution of wealth tilts to much to the wealthy. It destabilizes the country when too much wealth is concentrated into the hands of too few and it's in the nation's best interest to see that kind of imbalance doesn't become too extreme.

Same thing on iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless.
What I can say is I can confirm it worked post-update without an issue, and it's definitely a today thing (at least for me).
The best was when I called Sirius|XM they gave me the phone # to Apple Support...
As someone who has helped run a Call Center, Sirius|XM's customer service is just so blatantly poorly outsourced it's beyond humor.

I am looking for a really good monitor for my 2010 Mini for use with Web Browsing and some games, as my trusty ol' Gateway finally died.
I am looking in the 22-24" area and do not want to spend more than say $350.00
Should I go LED or Not?
Need to be able to display MAX Resolution Mini can handle.

I've been spoiled with the ease of use of Time Machine and CCC. Since I'm running a windows partition on my desktop, what options are available that offer similar types of functionality.
I'm looking for a windows application to backup and/or clone my windows drive.
I used to use norton ghost back in the day but the reviews found on amazon are less then stellar.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

But the fact remains, most new cell phones in the U.S. at least already have GPS built in so the location of the phone can be tracked by emergency responders.
Actually I was told by someone that should know that all the GSM networks don't support the GPS subcarrier and calculate your position by tower triangulation instead. Since GSM is the dominate form in the industry in the us (unless Sprints bigger than I think) most phones probably don't have GPS built in. (just an interesting factoid)
And yes a cellphone/camera/GPS thingee would be cool but they can't forget the essentials and a phone without voice dial is a phone not worth having no matter what other features it might have. I mean don't all states have a 'handsfree only' while driving law by now?

On my iBook I need to put the volume about halfway before I can hear anything. However it makes sense because I need to turn it down to about a quarter when using headphones - if it was louder without headphones then it would be unbearably loud with them. I hope that made sense!

I have had two diesel cars, and quite a few petrol cars. I don't profess to know a huge amount about the mechanical reasons for these, but here are a few of my thoughts. In actual day-to-day driving it is possible to notice you are driving a diesel. While this is not positive, it is only a niggling negative, and should not be enough to put you off. They are considerably noisier at low speeds, and do certainly rumble under foot on the clutch. I have experienced this with both a Volvo C30, Audi A4 and a VW Passat courtesy car. The problem I found most of all was the slow acceleration - you must physically wait for the turbo-charger to kick in before the car moves quickly. It is a strange feeling, but certainly you can live with it.
Fuel cost I have found to be around the same in the UK. While there is a slightly higher MPG on the diesel cars I've driven, the extra cost of the fuel offsets this so they are fairly similar. Other maintenance costs seem to be around the same.
I think it is unlikely I will get another diesel for several reasons.

Work at the final TV resolution, 720x576. This way the output file won't get scaled down when when getting encoded to DVD. Avoid 1px lines & very fine type, they will look fine on your computers monitor, but will flicker when displayed on TV.
If the job is for broadcast you might want to deliver it as a uncompressed .mov or a tiff sequence, as MPEG2 uses quite a lot of compression.
