Another thing. I think we should always remember to put in the the source for images and photos that is uploaded and make sure we have permission to use those. Will keep us from getting into trouble later. :p

DRM is so dumb, I don't see why these record companies are so obsessed with it. CDs don't have it, F iTunes. I'd rather buy CDs anyway and rip em:p

I was not aware that I broke a rule. I read some of the other blogs and thought this is in the same vein. Now what? MS
thats why you should read the rules, if you dont, you wouldnt be aware would you ? lol, FYI, this isn't a blog, it's a message board, whatever rules apply elsewhere, they dont apply here, thats why this board has it's own set of rules ;)

If they don't update the Mac Mini in the next 6 weeks, It's very likely that I'll be returning home with either a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air by the end of that time. So, yeh, the MBA is currently an attractive option!

resolution independence is going to be a god send to web developers, no more crappy and inaccurate pixel/em sizes. now we'll be able to specify inches and picas hoorah!
and vista will be supporting resolution independence through its WPF foundation layer. it won't be overnight hell like CSS 2.1 it'll take years before it goes mainstream, but the web is going to be a much better place.
as for JPEGs at 72 dpi vs resolution independence beyond the scaling algorithms it's important to look at the increase in resolutions of monitors before going to crazy, 1920x1200 is about the maximum and average consumer is going to have, it's taken a few years from 1024x768 to get there though, three or four at least. i suspect we'll be at a max ratio of 2:1 or maybe 3:1 for quite some time. i don't think we're going to see a drastic need for hi-res images on the web or a plethora of "blurry" images for quite some time.
Specifying sizes in mm and inches would have to be the worst way to do web design. I have good eyesight so i want my webpages to be small, my parents have worse eyesight so they like to scale everything larger, their solution at the moment is to decrease the screen resolution, this is very crude on an lcd. When resolution independence becomes standard they will be able to make everything larger while still maintaining the default resolution of their monitor, but if everyone designs webpages in mm or inches then the webpages wont become bigger, completely defeating the purpose.

I thought this feature was always available. Guess I don't have too much use for it until I think about it. Strange that it just appeared without an update.

People were curious on how they relock your device. How is this possible? Isn't once it is unlocked it's unlocked? I guess apple does it differently than other phones like I suspected.

There are a couple guys from Germany selling these for dirt cheap. I think they are all reprints. I bought a Buzz Aldrin from this seller and it's a totally awesome poster, you couldn't tell it was a fake...crisp, good contrast, glossy matte finish, even smelled fresh and new, and the colored Apple logo was perfect. The photo is stunning. I even bought another one from him. But, there is no way he is selling the volume of posters that he's selling without them being reprints, he lists a new batch of them on global.ebay.com every week. Just search for "Think different poster" and you will find a list of 24x36" Think Different posters from a seller in Germany.
Here is the same poster I bought from him. Listed at $1.00:

I have a full collection of Apple service manuals and found this in the dual 2.7 take apart guide. The photos are not very detailed but it does show the 2 different cooling systems.

Haha, I thought you were talking about all the little noises you could turn on when using OS 9. The little sounds it made when opening/closing windows, dragging icons etc. I'll see if I can send you those alert sounds if you want.

Hello,
I am trying to create a new database with the mysqladmin command in MAMP. Im in the terminal and I have navigated to
/Applications/MAMP/bin/mysql4/bin
and then I hit
sudo ./mysqladmin create databasename
and I get this message
error: 'Access denied for user: 'xxxxxxx@localhost' (Using password: NO)'
Is there something I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

How does "Yes" translate into "will be available soon"? Did I miss/overlook something.
Ugh, I had seen their facebook post and took it for face value... then I just actually read the link...
Where does it say 4.3.1? All it says is "YES" not "Yes, Soon"... and not "Yes, Soon, 4.3.1" ... I hate when "tech news" sites assume things just because they want them to be so. How annoying is that. Sure I'm guilty of reading too much into the headline, but it's annoying they wrote the article based on this one word "YES"
