You'll be lucky to get the case on over the invisableshield on the back. I know I couldn't with my Incase Slider on my 3G.. Had to peel it off. Save your money and just put one on the front.
Not sure how much, if at all, the back is scuffed up, nor do I much care since it will always be in a case.

It's standard setup game. Friends bidding to create hype, "sell" one for 12k so they can sell other 5 for at least some premium.
I don't understand people who have to have it the same day and actually pay the premium for this thing on ebay :confused:

But my order status page at Apple UK site, says that all items been delivered ! Obviously not true, only Apple Care.

Awaiting delivery of new Mac Pro with stock 5770 video card. Am I correct in thinking that I can attach three monitors (Samsung) and they'll all screen span? Not mirror, but stretched or shared desktop with the cursor moving from one screen to another.
Also, can I pop in my NVIDIA 8800GT card, that I'm removing from my dead 1st gen. Mac Pro, and expect it to work and play nicely with the installed stock ATI.

You will need to get two active MDP to DVI adapters (Amazon has them for about $35 each), passive adapters will only work with up to 2 monitors. The Apple dual-link/active adapters will work but they are expensive, and if you don't need the dual link, they are overkill as well. The real issue is the resolution of the monitors, and you may need the dual-link/active expensive adapters depending on the monitor you connect. I don't know much about that, so maybe someone who knows for sure could chime in...:cool:

I agree... even if they were ugly as sin (which I dont think they are) the protection of them is great.... have on of these on from day 1, and your iPod will never scratch. A great buy I would say.

make sure you also have LESS than 512 MB ram in it. I've tried to install Panther on older G3 powerbooks several times and had to remove ram chips to get it to complete installation. After installing panther you can put the ram chip back in. Weird, but it works.

I'm guessing what's happening is since your window is an NSPanel it is not registered as a main window, so after the About box closes, it doesn't have a main window anymore and terminates. You could try subclassing NSPanel and overriding canBecomeMainWindow and return YES, then use this subclass in your nib.

You are basically moving the bandwidth requirements to another server. It depends on what the second host allows.
That sounds promising.
My plan is to host the files from my Dropbox, giving me a good 2GB of space from the 40MB I think I have now. I'm not sure how bandwidth works with Dropbox since it's not a web host. I assume it will work fine, otherwise I'll just have to cough up some money :(

It was 10 days before my second year of Community College classes were to start. I was in bed, just sort of waking up when my dad called to me to see what was happening on the TV. I was thinking from his reactions that what was happening was another Oklahoma style bombing or something (at that point I still had not made it to the living room and seen anything on the TV yet). Well my thoughts were quickly changed after seeing the first few minutes of the coverage

Have a PowerMac G5 here at work that now flashes that wonderful blinking folder icon upon powering up. Seems to have lost its way to the operating system. The person before me did a wonderful job of not leaving behind any documentation regarding it... So now I'm stuck at square one with not much to go off of.
Have tried all the discs in my office, that are all for Mac OS X (Mac Computers, etc, startup discs), and I keep getting the error that "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer". Lovely, right? It's an older model, I'm guessing before Mac started having Intel-based processors. Anyone know online where I can, maybe, download an appropriate startup disc, or if there's any way I can get to another startup screen?

1. How much cash does AAPL have as of Apriil 22, 2011
2. Doesn't the cash after say $30 billion basically become just investment vehicles? You can do all the pre-purchasing of supplies + R&D with WELL under $30 billion for a company like Apple. Essentially companies like MSFT/AAPL/Google with HUGE cash reserves become like banks.

I'm not buying the iPhone 6 timeline.
The 5 rumors make some sense, so as to not piss off the new Verizon owners who couldn't wait for the 5 to come out in June. However, assuming the 5 isn't slated to begin production until October, why would Apple release a new phone 6 months (or less) later? That will just piss both AT&T AND Verizon users who upgrade to the 5. I can't see them ramping up production for a phone with a 6 month anticipated life span.
Well it is important for them to actually try to get more competitive in hardware. Right now the iPhone 4 is far from being the best smartphone in terms of specs. The android phones coming out every other week are leapfrogging each other with better hardware and stuff.

Depends what kind of external HD you are planning on using. A 3.5" external with FW800 will most likely be faster than your stock 5400rpm drive.
If you want to install games to the SSD, then I recommend you to get a bigger one so you won't run out of space immediately. Games take quite a lot of space.
Yep, it will definitely be a FW800 7200 rpm external, and the next step up on storage with this ssd is 120GB at $250. Ouch! I may do it just for the piece of mind. Is there a certain brand/model of externals that seems to be affordable and dependable that fit my needs? Would like to get one that is popular, yet worthy of people's reviews.

Black Ops looks like just another CoD game, nothing that hasn't been beaten to death before. Very stoked for GT5, Reach will be interesting and I hope Donkey Kong Country Returns comes out in the fall as well (easily my most loved game from E3 '10). Quite a few other games coming out that I forget at the moment.
