I'm looking for software (hopefully freeware) that will allow me to download all pages of a web site for archiving purposes. Any ideas?

Reply 1: Who cares? How many Netflix downloads are free movies? BFD.
Reply 2: Nonsense. You can adjust the font, the size, the background color and the brightness. I'm surprised you didn't trot out the "backlit screen hurts your eyes" myth as well.
You just keep trying. Maybe one day, many years from now when information is streamed to our brain implants and displayed on our artificial corneas, Apple will fail to sell a single iPad and you will declare "I told you it was going to be a massive FAIL."
I do not feel any eye strain and I have read a good 5000 book pages or so in the Kindle app on the iPad. The only downside is the screen glare outside, the kindle is still better for that.
I have also ready a dozen novels or so on my iPhone, so maybe I have unusually strong eyes :)

So the Verizon deal really didn't help them with the iPhone and Apple lost again more marketshare in the smartphone market. Not good especially as Google now ships almost 40 million Android phones per quarter. Maybe a cheap iPhone nano might help Apple to get back into a competing position.

I'm thinking I'm going to go to either this one or sherman oaks, that is if they know they're going to have white iphones. Anyone have any experience lining up at this store?
From what I understand, there will be no white phones for a while. And I have heard that sherman oaks is better, not sure why.

I know that the ipad and iphone are really popular, but doesn't it seem that there are so many less rumors about the actual Mac than in years past? I've been using this site since 2005 and it seems that way to me at least. 1-4 rumors a day about anything IOS, while I I feel lucky to get a Mac rumor every couple of days.
I know times have changed and all, but it would seem that the sources would keep the info coming along. Am I the only one:confused:

Color management is the key, though.

Interesting. None of these features are "big" as far as selling points/innovations go - no expos, etc. I don't expect unreleased features to be huge for 10.5, and so it seems like the OS will probably not get great reviews or have a whole lot of possible selling points. But that doesn't mean I don't think these features are unimportant or won't help sell a bunch of computers -- actually, exactly the opposite. Leopard brings the software up to the hardware, increasing the overall user experience, and increasing the benefit of new technologies. Without these kinds of updates, more cores doesn't actually mean much faster, and higher resolution screens don't mean more readable, better screens. These innovations in software set the hardware free to do whatever it can. Will my powerbook get much better with the new OS? No. Will new macs look much better in apple stores, and run faster with the same specs? Yes. Even though techies will understand these features, it wil be nontechies who buy the computer because of them, because they don't have to turn anything on, but get a better feel in their computing experience.
Which brings up two questions-
1. Does anybody know how far this resolution independence goes? Meaning, if finder and the dock are the only things that are resolution independent, but office, ilife, etc. still turn tiny, no thanks. But does carbon and cocao mean that apps built on those (which/how many apps) will automatically be scalable?
2. How does resolution independence and multicore usage compare between leopard and vista?

I am shocked to see how popular these are becoming. Personally if I got one it would only be an addition to my computers not a replacement for my MBP. Like having the optical drive at my leisure and the better computing power. But then again I do working the IT field. I could easily see how they meet the average consumers needs. None the less I want one.

Sounds to me like you'd be better off doing your sorting in your sql query and only pulling the relevant results with something like:
...
ORDER BY COUNT(referrer) DESC
LIMIT 10
Not knowing your table schema that's about as specific as I can get.

As for the fan issue--when I watch a YouTube videos the fans go crazy, it's really the only time I use the Air that I ever hear the fans.
I know I'm not the only one who has this problem, as I've read on this forum about the issue but have not seen any fix for it yet.
Sorry, there wont be any software fix for your fan issue.

Hello there, do these shsh need to saved to the PC?? Or the ipad itself?? But if the ipad jailbreak is not out yet how can it be saved using tinyumbrella which is availabe thru cydia
Tinyumbrella saves them to your PC and puts a request to have them saved on Saurik's (Cydia) servers as well. Saving them does not rely upon a jailbreak.
The SHSHs allow you to downgrade firmware since firmware updates send a request to Apple's servers. "Can I install this firmware?" Tinyumbrella and/or Saurik's servers mock the Apple server allowing you to install older firmware as long as you have SHSHs saved for said firmware.

I would like to see,
thinner displays
HDMI
Better quality
Better response times
And 20" at 200 23" at 350 30" at 700
I couldn't wait.
Sitting here typing at my 3 week old 30" ACD I'm wondering what would the advantage of a thinner display be? (It's the foot that takes the space)
I don't get any noticeable lag on video or large graphics so how much faster do you need the response time to be?
Build quality is far in excess of any other monitor I've ever had - this thing is built like a tank and the image quality (as a print designer) is spot on. It may not suit people who need an oversaturated bright display but for me it's hard to imagine a higher image quality.
Yes, I'd like the price to have been 700 but it isn't and compared to an Eizo it's a fair price. Using a 30" professionally, in comparison to a 17" monitor (okay, big jump) I used to spend 50% of my mouse time (subjective) moving windows around the screen to get at what I wanted. The productivity gains mean this monitor will pay for itself in 6-9 months. If you want to buy a 30" for leisure use then it's a luxury and cost shouldn't be an issue.
Even if new ACD's came out at the above specs tomorrow, I wouldn't regret having bought this monitor when I did.
HDMI isn't an issue for me as I watch movies on my TV and don't have time to get into video editing etc. ;)
